Week 4, Day 1: The Fullness of Christ

Welcome to Week Four of Captivated Heart: Server Training.  You've made it to the final stretch!  Hooray!  Don't forget to make plans to join us for "in-person" training on Thursday night at 7:00 at Crossroads!

Our FOCUS this week is to experience the power of our RISEN Lord!  As we allow the woman of flesh to die within us, our very nature begins to change.  We begin to partake in the divine nature.  In this transformation -- however long it takes -- our character is actually becoming the very character Jesus Himself.  It becomes no longer a matter of simply knowing the Scripture and copying what Jesus did, but a matter of living out the very heart of Jesus within our own spirit.

Our PRAYER this week is that we would know the power of His resurrection and be fully confirmed in Him by the Holy Spirit.



Start today by reading Colossians 1:15-23.

To help clarify the meaning of these verses, you have a little bit of homework today.
1) In your own words, write down who Christ is according to verses 15-20.
2) Also in your own words (no copying the text word for word, now!), write down who we are, according to verses 21-23.  What qualities do we have?

Spend some time just thinking about what and who we are in Christ Jesus.  Pray a prayer of thanksgiving for His transforming work in you!  (And make sure to journal your thoughts!)
